All Saints University Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, General Information

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an island-country in the Lesser Antilles chain, namely in the southern portion of the Windward Islands, which lie at the southern end of the eastern border of the Caribbean Sea where the latter meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its 389-square-kilometre (150 sq mi) territory consists of the main island of Saint Vincent and the northern two-thirds of the Grenadines, which are a chain of smaller islands stretching south from Saint Vincent Island to Grenada. To the north of Saint Vincent lies Saint Lucia, to the east Barbados. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is densely populated (over 300 inhabitants/km2) with its 120,000 people. Its capital is Kingstown, also its main port. The country has a French and British colonial history and is now part of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, CARICOM, the Commonwealth of Nations and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas.

The island now known as Saint Vincent was originally named Hairouna ("The Land of the Blessed") by the native Caribs. The Caribs aggressively prevented European settlement on Saint Vincent until 1719. Prior to this, formerly enslaved Africans, who had either been shipwrecked or who had escaped from Barbados, Saint Lucia and Grenada and sought refuge in mainland Saint Vincent, intermarried with the Caribs and became known as Garifuna or Black Caribs.

Career Opportunities All saints University

Join All Saints University and Broaden Your Career!

There are several reasons why people choose a career in medicine. Prestige, satisfaction, dedication, respect and a genuine desire to make an impact on the lifestyle of humans. This profession is considered the most noble and the epitome of academic success by many. The challenges are many but surmountable.

Dedication, hard work and sacrifice play a pivotal role in obtaining a degree in medicine. One must keep in mind that an MD depicts a lifestyle, not simply a job.

While there are only a few careers that are more glamorous than medicine, the choice of a career in medicine also presents the most challenges and the need to make difficult choices almost every minute of the day.

The most successful doctors are those that make quick, appropriate and accurate decisions at the precise times. The reward at the end of the day of having made a positive impact in the lives of those they serve, leaves a sense of satisfaction that is unsurpassed by any material gain.
As we are constantly expanding, we are always on the lookout for professors to teach MD, USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 classes in the Caribbean. You may submit your resume/CV, and if suitable for any positions that arise, we will contact you for an interview. All resumes/CVs will be kept on file for a period of one year.
